  2. Invest. This doesn’t just mean money. Invest your time, your energy, and be ready for the juggle.
  3. Find your network.

See you there!

Episode Four:

Today I’m talking all about how to run a successful wedding business during lockdown. When I was planning these episodes several months back I didn’t have this title in mind.

However, things change and we have to evolve. Today I want to bring some motivation, and some ideas for moving yourself and your business forward in this challenging time.

If you have followed me for a long time you will know I talk about mindset, a lot. Mindset is everything and I’ve always preached about this idea that you have a choice of how you respond to a situation.

In this situation I am choosing not to stay in a place of panic about my business, and I am choosing to pave a way forward. I am choosing motivation, patience, peace and calm over panic.

So today I have 7 things to share with you, that you can do in your business during this lockdown to keep moving forward.

I know it’s been a tough few weeks for lots of you, but know that this will pass, and this can be an amazing time and opportunity for your business.

Next week, I have my very first Q&A podcast and I want to answer all of your questions.

Not just about how to run your wedding business during lockdown, but anything about running a successful wedding business. So if you have questions please send them to info@fayecornhillcoaching.com and I will do my best to answer as many as possible.

Episode Five:

Last week I invited you to email me all your questions about running a successful wedding business, so today, I will be answering as many of your questions as I can in my first Q&A episode. We will have two more Q&A episodes in this first season of the podcast, so if you missed out this time, you will have more opportunities to pick my brain.

Today I will be sharing some advice and tips if you’re just starting out in the wedding industry, and how to prioritise your work and get organised for the week ahead. We have questions on using social media to reach your ideal client, and what I’ve learnt over ten years running my wedding business.

Also this week, I am very excited to invite you to join me in my new challenge launching 4th May 2020.

Episode Seven:

The term ‘ideal client’ has become a bit of buzzword and you’ve probably heard people talk about how to ascertain your dream clients but before I help you identify them, I want you to understand why knowing who you want to speak to is such an important part of building your business.

Getting to grips with your ideal client will play a huge part in building the success of your business. It will impact your content, your website, your social media, and it really is a foundational piece of your brand.

You might find your ideal client is the opposite to the clients you’re booking right now, but by tweaking your business you can attract the clients that you will love working with, and love spending time with.  You’ll have relationships with your clients based on their appreciation of your style, not cost, and that is so powerful.

I’m going to take you through how to identify your ideal client and in future episodes we will dive further into how to attract them.

So, I’m really interested to hear your thoughts. Drop me an email or a DM and tell me all about your ideal clients, or your dream testimonials, and let’s get you moving closer to speaking to those people.

Lastly, don’t forget doors are now open for The Wedding Business Club.

The Wedding Business Club is an online and in person community exclusively for people who work in the wedding industry. It’s a place for you to learn, to grow, to develop your skills and to make lifelong friends.

It’s the best place to hang out if you want to grow your wedding business and get results.

Today I have a mediation episode to share with you as it’s key as we build our successful businesses that we take the time to also work on our mindset, and take some time just for us in the day as well.

If you have enjoyed today’s meditation, or any of the previous episodes please do leave a review as this helps others to find the podcast and start building their successful wedding business.

I will see you again next week!

Episode Ten:

As a photographer I love using Instagram. As it’s all about imagery it hits the spot for me and while there are other social media platforms out there, Instagram is my favourite place to hang out and I know it is for lots of other people in the wedding industry too.

But how do we use Instagram to grow our business and attract clients?

Well, in this episode I am sharing my top tips for how to build an Instragam audience that not only interacts with you, but shows up, enquires about your business and ultimately becomes a paying client.

Everything I am going to share with you are examples of what’s worked for me, so Instagram might not be your cup of tea – and that’s fine! But if that’s where your ideal client is, then consider giving it a go.

I’ll be answering some of the questions I’m frequently asked, like should I post hashtags in my caption or my comments? And what to do when you’re not sure what to post.

I’d love to know if today’s episode has convinced you to tweak the way you use Instagram, come and find me @fayecornhillcoaching and drop me a message.

I will be back again next week with another fantastic wedding industry expert sharing their experience and advice. I’ll see you there!

Episode Eleven:

This week it is my pleasure to be joined by Elizabeth, founder of Hall & Co Event Design to share her experience and insight on building a successful wedding business.

Starting out doing-up furniture for fun Elizabeth began by renting out pieces out for events and could have never imagined that her hobby would grow into a full time business.

Now, five years on, Hall & Co employ a team of people, and if you’ve seen their Instagram you’ll know while they work hard they also have a great time together creating bespoke and memorable events.

Elizabeth shares with me what has had the biggest impact on her business, from leveraging social media, to getting clear on their ideal clients and what she’s learned from building a team.

If you are new to the wedding industry, or want to start a wedding business Elizabeth has some sound advice for you to follow your gut or as she puts it –  if an opportunity doesn’t excite you and make you think, hell yes, then it’s a hell no.

Episode Twelve:

Welcome to the final meditation episode of series one! I am so pleased that so many of you have enjoyed these mediation episodes and have been able to take a few minutes out of the day to relax and to find a place of calm.

In today’s mediation we are going to focus on gratitude. So find somewhere comfortable to sit and we’ll spend 10 minutes focusing on what we appreciate, and all we are grateful for.

We will think about who, or what we are grateful for in life to set you up for the day, or to help you unwind when you need it.

Lastly, I can hardly believe it but we are at the end of season one of the podcast. I will be back next week though for a final episode to round up this first series and take a look back at some of the fantastic insights shared from my guests, the questions you asked and the tips shared for how you can build a successful wedding business.

I’ll see you there!

Episode Thirteen:

So here we are at the final episode of Season 1! It feels like 2 minutes ago I sat down with my notebook to plan out the episodes and launch for this podcast.

These 13 episodes have been jam packed with advice, information and support, so today I wanted to take the chance to recap on why I started the podcast and what I’ve learnt through this time.

There’s been so many things that have been out of my control in this period, but I made the decision at the start of lockdown to go all in, on serving, helping and supporting the people around me. I chose to take action to move my business forward, and I know so many of you did too.

I truly believe when you surround yourself with people who cheer you on and support you, it makes a huge huge difference and I’ve seen that more than ever through lockdown.

So if I can leave you with anything from this series, it’s that the best way to grow your business is to find your people, show up consistently and serve them.

I really hope you’ve enjoyed these episodes, it makes me so happy to read your reviews or see where you’re listening and I’m so grateful for you taking the time to listen in.

You’ve heard me speak a lot about The Wedding Business Club in the podcast, so if you think it might be a place you want to hang out you can find more information here.

Episode Eighteen:

This week I have a laser focused and super practical episode for you on how you can run a SWOT analysis to uncover the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats within your business.

Now, if you’re thinking, Faye, a SWOT analysis sounds a bit stuffy, well I hear you.

However, while the wedding industry is a creative place and far from the corporate world, we still need strategies and tools to build and grow our successful wedding business and anything that allows us to look inwards at our business to see what’s working and what’s not working, really is worth its weight in gold.

It’s often the case that the work that feels challenging or scary is where you’ll uncover the best ideas, so I’d love for you to take 15-20 minutes to do a SWOT analysis on your wedding business and it might just be the thing that peels back the curtain on your next opportunity.

Come and tell me over on Instagram @fayecornhill how you found this exercise and share your ideas with me because I can’t wait to hear what you discovered!

Episode Nineteen:

Joining me this week is Wedding Business Club member and founder of Carriages Events, Meera Majithia.

Meera has not only built a successful wedding planning business coordinating Indian & interfaith weddings, but has recently expanded the business to also include bridal coaching – providing an online community for brides to support them in their planning, and on top of that, also has a book in the pipeline set to be released this year!

Meera shares with me what led her into the world of wedding planning, what she loves about her job, how she builds strong connections with her couples, and what you can expect if you have not yet had the absolute blessing of attending an Indian wedding.

Meera gives us an insight into what has had the biggest impact on her business so far, shares her wisdom for anyone who’s feeling like they’ve lost their mojo and her advice to anyone just starting out in the wedding industry or the world of entrepreneurship.

To see more of Meera’s work you can find her on Instagram @carriagesevents and learn more about her services at www.carriagesevents.co.uk

Lucky for us she found her way back to illustration and specifically into the wedding industry.

In todays’ episode Charlotte shares the 5 things that have had the biggest impact on her business, as well as the limiting beliefs that used to stop her from pushing to the next level and how she’s worked to overcome them so they no longer stand in her way.

As well as giving you a sneak peek at what’s coming up in season 3.

Now, I have to admit, before launching my own podcast, I actually didn’t listen to podcasts myself –  I know! However, I could see the impact podcasts had in connecting people, and when I started my wedding business if there had been a way to learn and hear first hand about other peoples industry experience I would have grabbed that with both hands, so I really hope you’ve not only enjoyed this season but that it’s helped you and your business as well.
