Hi
This weekend has been a huge leap forward for us. We have finally unpacked the last few boxes, we’ve started the gardening (yes, I bought gardening gloves, a lawnmower and even a wheelbarrow!) Our new home is starting to feel like ours - or should I say we really feel like us in our new home.
Every morning I wake up with a sense of opportunity, of excitement and I am genuinely delighted to be living my life right now. This morning as I stood in the garden watching the sun come up I said my daily affirmations and it felt AMAZING.
There are LOTS of new people here… thank you so much for joining my weekly newsletter. My strategy here is very clear. I aim to:
TEACH > SUPPORT > INSPIRE.
These are the words I originally wrote down in my journal a few years ago when I was taking my coaching business to it’s next level and it’s still what drives me every day.
So for those of you who are new, and for those of you who are interested in a reminder, I wanted to tell you a little more about me.
I’m a Somerset girl (for those of you not in the UK, Somerset in a region in the South West of England where lots of the land is used for farming. It’s an area famous for it’s funny accent and it’s cider!) At 18 I left the sanctuary of my village to head to University and I was the first in my family to do so.
I dreamed of working in television and I studied hard to make this happen. I worked for the local TV network and then after graduating moved to London to follow my dreams of working for a major TV network.
Quickly my dreams were dashed when I realised that my lifestyle goals could not be supported by the low salary that an entry level TV job offered. I quickly abandoned ship and took a much better paid job in corporate sales. Sales came easy to me - I’m super chatty and perhaps you could say I’m good at influencing so I quickly carved a really successful career. Before long I was buying a house, getting married and having children. There were bills to pay and of course I had to be ‘responsible’. It was VERY hard to jump off that conveyor belt.
I basically bottled any sort of ambition of self-employment up until I could barely feel it any more. On the outside everything was so rosy - £10k monthly bonuses, company cars, promotions. But honestly it meant nothing to me.
So why am I telling you this?
Because something inside of me told me to change that. And I dare say that you’ve been through exactly the same series of events. Perhaps you haven’t yet but you’re in the transition zone.
Today I really just wanted to reach out to tell you that you CAN do it, that you ARE good enough. Life IS on your side.
My story isn’t particularly compelling or original. It’s very simple really.
I knew what I wanted and I made it happen.
Every day I speak to people who are suppressing their own desires, their own wishes. And honestly it breaks my heart to hear that so many people are not living their dreams. I want to tell you that whatever you desire is totally possible. And the only thing stopping you is YOU.
Make today the beginning of the rest of your life. Make today THE day when you decide to take action. Make today the day you tell people about in a few years time when you recount your story of success.
There is no limit on what’s possible. There is no limit on what you can achieve in this life. So buckle up, take action and enjoy the ride.
With love,
Faye x
