It's Your Time.

Today I'll be celebrating my sons 8th birthday.... I know it's cliche but seriously, where did the time go?! If you saw my instagram post this morning you'll know that the last 8 years have been an incredible period of growth for me. I knew almost immediately when I became a Mummy that I wasn't prepared to make the sacrifices that I see women making every day. I knew straight away that the time was right to set up my first business. But how on earth would I do that?! Some people told me I was crazy (I had a great corporate job with all the corporate benefits I could ask for). But the people who really knew me told me to GO FOR IT! I told myself to GO FOR IT! So that's exactly what I did. At a time when money was tight I took a risk, I took the plunge and I made the leap. I pretty much remember the exact moment I made the decision. A key moment in my life. Today I look back at that moment and I thank myself for being brave. Because if I'd not committed to myself then, there is no way I'd be where I am today. And today, because my business allows it, I will be spending the day with my family....... no pressure to work, to check emails, to make calls. We'll be walking in the woods, eating burgers, going to the cinema and playing with his new toys.
